The Education and Science Laborers' Union (Eğitim Sen) has announced that its 682 members in total from the southeastern cities of Urfa, Diyarbakır and Antep have been banished to outside of the cities.
In its statement in which the union reacted to the Ministry of National
Education due to the practice carried out just ahead of the openings of the schools, the union said, "Banishing our members due to union activities is a crime".
According to the statement, ts 367 members in Urfa, 264 in Diyarbakır and 51 in Antep have been banished to outside of the cities. (BK/DG)
