Janissary March to Detained Attorneys

Four attorneys from People’s Law Bureau and one law students were detained in İstanbul yesterday (December 1). They were beaten in the police station to where they were taken.
This morning, police woke the attorneys with Janissary March.
It was ruled that attorneys Oya Aslan, Yağmur Ereren, Günay Dağ and Ezgi Ökten, and law faculty students Seda Çaraldı, Müslüm Bezirgan, Görken Ağdede, Ayşenur Demir, Görkem Ağdede and Burcu Ertaş be referred to prosecutor’s office.
Attorneys in Mardin have been in custody as well for over 12 days
Co-Chair of closed Mesopotamia Legists Association (MHD) Mardin Branch, Seher Acay, attorneys Ziya Bagi, Mahmut Bingül and Fevzi Adsız have been in custody as well for over 12 days.
The Ministry of Interior had announced on November 11 that activities of 370 associations in 39 cities were stopped as part of 11th Article of State of Emergency Law. Buildings of the associations and their branches were sealed by police. (AS/TK)
