Six people including Etkin News Agency (ETHA) reporter Ali Sönmez Kayar have been arrested.
According to ETHA, Kayar, Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Deputy Chair Sıtkı Güngör, Federation of Socialist Youth Association (SGDF) Central Executive Board member Ali Deniz Esen, Narin Duru, Boran Atıcı, Eren Bulut and Mustafa Çapar were detained by the Anti-Terror teams on February 1.
The seven figures were brought to Bakırköy Courthouse yesterday (February 6) following a 6-day detention, and sent to criminal judgeship of peace for arrest.
The judgeship released Çapar and ruled for the other six people to be arrested on charge of “being a member of an illegal organization”. (EA/TK)
