French President Emmanuel Macron calling President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has demanded that French journalist Loup Bureau be immediately released and sent back to France.
BBC Türkçe reported that the statement issued in the Elysee Palace stated that two leaders and ministers decided to continue the talks to get a positive result.
Bureau was detained as he attempted to cross to Turkey through Khabur Border Gate near Turkey's southeastern district of Silopi in Şırnak province.
Referred to court following legal proceedings were completed, Bureau was arrested on charge of "Aiding and abating a terror organization" on August 2.
interviews and photographs of these interviews he had made with members of Democratic Union Party/People's Protection Units (PYD/YPG) in Syria were found on him.
Order of confidentiality was issued for his file.
Bureau was taken to Şırnak Type T Prison. (EA/DG)
