Police barriers have started to be placed on streets leading to İstiklal Street ahead on May 1.
Governorship rejected application for Taksim
Labor and occupational organizations declared that May 1 Labor Day will be celebrated at the meeting area in Maltepe, İstanbul.
In the statement it was expressed that an application was submitted to İstanbul Governorship for the celebrations to be held at Taksim square but it was rejected by the governorship.
Taksim square will be closed with barriers as in last year. Which roads to be closed hasn’t been announced yet.
