1 Sergeant Major Loses His Life in Doğubayazıt

40-year-old Sergeant Major Göksel Koç has lost his life in a clash that erupted between PKK members and soldiers in Doğubayazıt, Ağrı.

The clashes sparked in Güngören on Ağrı Mountain foot in district of Doğubayazıt. Injured in the clash, Koç was taken to Doğubayazıt Doç. Dr. Yaşar Eryılmaz State Hospital by ambulance. Koç lost his life in the hospital.

Governorship: Two children were wounded

A large number of armored units were dispatched to the area following the clashes.

The governorship added that two children were injured in the explosion.

Body of Koç was sent to his hometown Keçiborlu, Isparta after the funeral. His body will be interred in Kozluca village today (March 13). (AS/TK)
