2 More Soldiers Lose Their Lives in Zap in Northern Iraq

Two soldiers have lost their lives due to an explosive being detonated during an operation called "Major General Aydoğan Aydın Operation" launched against Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Zap Region in northern Iraq, close to the Turkish border.

Two soldiers had also lost their lives in the same region yesterday (October 16).
The farewell ceremony was held for the four soldiers who lost their lives within 24 hours today.

It was stated that the soldiers who lost their lives in two separate attacks were Infantry Sergeant Major Furkan Aydın (33) who was married for 37 days; Infantry Sergeant Major İlhan Sezer (27) who got married a week ago; Infantry Sergeant Major Adam Gezer (26) and Infantry Sergeant Major Seçkin Arıkan (27).
