Boycott US and British Goods

Trade Municipal and Public Service Workers Union in Trabzon (on the Black Sea coast) called for boycott of US and British goods.

Cinar noted that they "oppose the violence and massacre that the United States have been carrying on in Iraq" and said "When we see on TV and in newspapers the people who are dying, people who are getting wounded, we are deeply touched. Yet unfortunately we cannot show the courage to do something against this. We have become a callous society. It is time that we rid ourselves of this callousness".

"Do not buy or sell Coca Cola, Sprite, Chevroet..."

"Let us boycott, let us not buy or sell goods produced by American and British companies, so that the dollars and pounds they gain in our country are not turned into bullets to be fired on our neighbours, the Iraqi people. " Cinar said.
