Felicity Party Declares Its Candidate for Election

In its announcement made today (May 1), Felicity Party has declared that the party’s presidential candidate is party’s chair Temel Karamollaoğlu for the Presidential election to be held on June 24.

The party on its Twitter account posted, “Our Chair Temel Karamollaoğlu has become our Presidential candidate”.

About Temel Karamollaoğlu

Born in 1941, Temel Karamollaoğlu is a politician who is currently the leader of the Felicity Party (SP) since 2016. A prominent Islamist, Karamollaoğlu was the Mayor of Sivas from 1989 to 1995 and served twice as a Member of Parliament for Sivas from 1977 to 1980 and from 1996 to 2002.

Having graduated from Department of Textile Tehcnology at Manchester University in 1964, Karamollaoğlu completed his Master’s degree at the same university. Serving as England Turkish Students’ Association Chair during his university years, Karamollaoğlu returned to Turkey in 1967 and went into a career. (ŞA/TK)
