Message from Arrested CHP MP Berberoğlu to ‘Justice March’

Republican People’s Party (CHP) İstanbul MP Mahmut Tanal has visited imprisoned CHP İstanbul MP Enis Berberoğlu.

Following an hour of visit, Tanal read out Berberoğlu’s message on the “Justice March”

"'I've seen this matter as a case of media freedom"

According to the report by Uğur Ayazsın from the Doğan News Agency (DHA), Berberoğlu’s message is:

“Dear justice warriors; I’ve seen this matter as a case of media freedom right from the start. Therefore, I cannot be free neither inside nor outside unless media is free in Turkey. For this reason, I support the Justice March with my sincerest feelings and that I convey my wishes of power and success to you”.

Tanal: Berberoğlu is in high spirits

Stating that Berberoğlu is in high spirits, Tanal said “He believed that justice will be maintained in our country eventually” and added:

“He says that [the arrest] was not a legal but a political decision and that it was plot against him”. (EKN/TK)
