Polar Bears Losing Struggle for Their Lives

Though there are warnings that polar bears are likely to become extinct in the next 50-100 years, the foreseen period of extinction has been proceeding more rapidly than expected as a result of the increasing global warming and hunger.
Moreover, there are other risks endangering the lives of polar bears, namely environmental pollution, disturbance due to seafaring, monitoring for recreation, gas and oil explorations and poaching, which render life almost impossible for polar bears.
Their numbers fell by half in 10 years
The research data presented by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) have shown that the numbers of polar bears in North Alaska fell by half between the years 2001 and 2010.
Researchers have captured the struggle of the polar bears with media cameras from their own eyes and commented, "Polar bears are fighting a war that they have already lost." In the video below, polar bears are making their own comments on their struggles.

They cannot hunt for prey by getting on ice blocks
Polar bears, who mostly feed on fish and seals and cover thousands of kilometers by getting on ice cubes to hunt for prey when they are hungry, are deprived of their hunting opportunities since the glaciers have been melting due to the rapidly increasing global warming.
Polar bears cannot also find food due to seal hunting and their layers of fat have been thinning.
