Published since 2006 based on the data of International Air Transport Association (IATA), the 2020 Henley Passport Index, listing the most powerful passports of the world, has been shared with the public.
Accordingly, the passport of Japan has ranked the first, just as it did in the previous two years. The ones carrying the passport of Japan can travel to 191 countries without needing a prior visa.
As for the passport of Turkey, it has marked a degrade of three rankings when compared to the last year, ranking 55th out of 107. A person with a passport of Turkey can enter 111 countries without a visa.
While Turkey has ranked worse than Russian Federation, Micronesia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia and Albania, it has ranked better than Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, China, Thailand and the Philippines.
