Brawl in Turkey’s Parliament during budget talks

Following the budget talks at the Parliamentary Commission on Planning and Budgetary, the Members of the Parliament have started discussing the 2022 budget at the General Assembly of the Parliament.
Today, on December 8, the budgets of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Interior Ministry were debated.
While the budget of the Interior Ministry was being discussed, a fist-fight occurred between the MPs of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP).
CHP Bursa MP Erkan Aydın addressed Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and asked him a question about Sezgin Baran Korkmaz, a businessperson who is currently jailed in Austria, facing a series of charges in both Turkey and the US, including money laundering, bribery and fraud.

Main opposition CHP's Erkan Aydın asked Soylu, "Why did you get on the plane of Sezgin Baran Korkmaz? Your picture has been disclosed. You said there was no other plane. You would have told the President."
In response to this, Minister Soylu said, "You are lying, you are a fraud". Aydın "returned" Soylu's remarks to him. Intervening between the two, CHP Parliamentary Group Deputy Chair and CHP Vice Chair Veli Ağbaba lashed out at Interior Minister Soylu in the meanwhile.
Following this verbal argument, MPs stood up. First, a verbal fight ensued between the MPs, which was followed by a fist-fight.
The session has been recessed afterwards.
