İstanbul Electricity, Tramway and Tunnel to Hire Women Drivers for the First Time

Releasing a written statement, İstanbul Electricity, Tramway and Tunnel (İETT) General Management has announced that it will hire 10 women drivers upon the instruction of İstanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

While the candidates can apply to the job on the official job application website of İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the statement has indicated, "This job advert has been shared for our women candidates. We believe that we should have more women force among us for sustainable growth and development and trust the potential of our women".

'Loving İstanbul' is among the application conditions

Among the application conditions for the job is also "loving İstanbul". The other conditions of the job are as follows:

• At least high school graduate and 3-year active driving experience
• Preferably, a graduate from the Department of Bus Conducting
• E-Type driver's licence
• Health conditions suitable to be hired as a Bus Driver
• SRC and psychotechnic evaluation documents
• Adapting oneself to work shifts
• Knowledgeable in advanced and safe driving skills
• Residing in or in the vicinity of Kağıthane district
• Strong communication skills
• Driving busses, minibuses, midibuses and service vehicles of every model and brand under her responsibility
• Serving the passengers safely
• Requesting passengers to use the public transport card "İstanbulkart"
• Being responsible for the security of the bus entrusted to her
• Informing her superiors about the vehicles and her duty in due time
