According to the stats by Assembly of Worker Health and Occupational Safety, at least 170 workers lost their lives in November.
138 of the 170 laborers were workers and civil servants; 21 were farmers/small land owners and 11 were craftspeople.
1,851 workers lost their lives in the first 11 months of 2017 and 1,970 in 2016.
Distribution by causes
The distribution by causes of the occupational homicides is as follows:
36 workers lost their lives due to traffic, shuttle accidents; 28 due to wreckage; 21 due to falling from high; 16 due to poisoning or drowning; 16 workers due to heart attack, cerebral hemorrhage; 13 due to violence; 11 due to suicide; 9 due to electric shock; 8 due to explosion or burning; 7 due to falling or hitting objects and 5 due to other causes.

23 killings occurred in İstanbul; 11 in Bursa; 9 in Konya; 8 in Antalya; 7 in Gaziantep; 6 in İzmir, Şanlıurfa and Zonguldak each; 5 in Afyon, Ankara, Denizli, Kocaeli and Manisa each; 4 in Sakarya; 3 in Adana, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Elazığ, Kastamonu, Kayseri, Mersin, Muğla, Sivas and Uşak each; 2 in Aydın, Edirne, Erzincan, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Muş, Samsun, Şırnak, Trabzon and Yalova each; 1 in Amasya, Burdur, Düzce, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Hakkari, Karabük, Karaman, Kilis, Mardin, Niğde, Tekirdağ, Tokat, Tunceli and Yozgat each.
