Pandemic Working Group by Turkish Medical Association

The Turkish Medical Association (TTB) has stated that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is neither the first nor the last and announced that it has reorganized its COVID-19 Monitoring Board as the Pandemic Working Group. The new group consists of 27 members, including legal professionals, political scientists and software developers.
The TTB has made the following statement about the issue:
"We would like to thank all our members of the Monitoring Board, who have made considerable efforts for a year since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, shared their scientific knowledge and made outstanding efforts to inform the public about the difficulty of this process. Considering the fact that this pandemic is neither the first nor the last and that we will face more pandemics and given the awareness that this process will not be limited to the COVID-19 virus, we hereby announce that we have reorganized our COVID-19 Monitoring Board as the Pandemic Working Group and that, with our new members, we will continue fulfilling our obligation to inform the public and we will work with a responsibility for preventing new pandemics and making preparations for the ones that we cannot prevent."
